During the initial Dentacor RMA term, a Dentacor-employed hygienist had to obtain patient informed consent before any RMA-authorized procedure, explicitly disclosing the absence of dentist supervision and the hygienist's narrower training and scope. The requirement expired with the initial mitigation period on May 31, 2026; no public extension instrument was located as of July 25, 2026.

What Counts

• Informed consent obtained from the patient prior to the procedure
• Disclosure that no dentist is supervising the procedure
• Explanation that the hygienist's training and scope of practice is narrower than a dentist's
• Consent obtained and documented for each patient, not a one-time site-wide waiver

What Does Not Count

• Implied consent or boilerplate intake forms without the absence-of-dentist language
• Consent obtained after the procedure has begun
• Consent that characterizes the hygienist's scope as equivalent to a dentist's
